On this week’s Dune Talk show we conclude our scene-by-scene breakdown of Dune: Part One. In-depth discussion picks up as Paul and Jessica arise from the stilltent, where we meet a little resident of the desert, and covers the entirety of the last act of the movie. There’s a lot to analyze, whether it’s Paul’s passage of death and rebirth, his deep—though fully one-sided, for now—connection with Chani, and first-hand glimpses into the Fremen culture.
The crew—Garin, Johnny, Marcus, and Simon—share their final thoughts on the film’s ending and touch on what lies ahead. Like the previous shows in this movie review sub-series (find links to those in the show notes below), this episode contains spoilers for the movie and first book.
This podcast (96 minutes) is available below in both video and audio formats. Enjoy and spread the word to fellow Dune fans!
