DUNE TALK: First Reaction to Watching Dune Movie!

That’s right, one of us has seen the movie! Not surprisingly, the rest of the crew have lots of questions on this week’s Dune Talk show. We jump straight into first impressions (spoiler free) to seeing Villeneuve’s Dune: Part One on the big screen. Favorite scene in the film? Standout acting performance(s)? Overall reaction to seeing the rich visuals and Hans Zimmer’s score come together in the cinema? How many times should you plan to see this movie?

And, one week before the movie’s domestic release there’s tons of Dune news coming out every day. Garin, Johnny, Marcus, and Simon discus the final trailer, touching behind-the-scenes videos shared by Jason Momoa, and an in-depth cover story for Entertainment Weekly, featuring the film’s cast—Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Josh Brolin, and more. Then finally we provide our regular box office update and look ahead to upcoming week’s theatrical (and HBO MAX) premieres.

This podcast (53 minutes) is available below in both video and audio formats. Enjoy and spread the word to fellow Dune fans!
