The double LP includes selections from composer Knut Avenstroup Haugen’s orchestral game soundtrack. It will be available as a Laced exclusive galaxy-effect color vinyl and a standard black vinyl. Both editions feature a wide-spined outer sleeve with custom artwork by Funcom and printed, spined inner sleeves. Shipping is estimated for January 2026.
The open-world survival game has drawn critical praise for its faithful recreation of the Dune universe, including its vast landscapes, deep lore, and political intrigue. The music plays a key role in building the atmosphere of Arrakis, evoking both its dramatic scenery and the human struggles on the planet.
Recorded live at AIR Studios in London, with The Chamber Orchestra of London, Haugen’s score creates a sense of planetary scale. Sweeping strings shimmer like heat rising from the desert, while deep brass calls to mind dawn across the sands. Acoustic instruments blend with electronic elements to capture Dune‘s unique blend of science fiction and spirituality. Vocal performances by Clara Sorace, Eurielle, and Emília Rovira Alegre add a sacred touch, lifting the music to emotional highs.
