On this special episode of Dune Talk show, we welcome two members of the team at Shiro Games—community lead James Croucher and developer Tom Georgin—to discuss Dune: Spice Wars! The new 4X real-time strategy video game hit Steam Early Access in late-April to enthusiastic reception from the community: 82% of its reviews are positive, out of almost 4,000 to date.
Shiro Games recently revealed their roadmap for the game, confirming that multiplayer mode is arriving this month. During the interview we ask: What can players expect from that highly-demanded feature and other upcoming updates, such as a fifth playable faction? James and Tom also talk about what it was like to work on this first Dune computer game in over 20 years, perspectives on the unique gameplay elements, and hopes for the future of Dune: Spice Wars and its community.
